Juniors father, Edwin became a notorious bank robber and he and Doreen divorced. Edwin served time in prison and when released was given a new identity and sent to British Columbia where he spent the remainder of his life actively engaged in charity work. He was even honored as citizen of the year and in BC no one knew of his past. He later remarried.
Edwin Sr.'s father served in WW I and was also a police constable. Edwin Sr., Junior's dad served in WW II and he was once a policeman also. He was also a bus driver.
