Ezra Alvarez "Ezy" passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, in Derry N.H. Born in California, he spent the first few years of his life in Montebello, CA. Ezra and his family later moved to Utah, where he found his passion and love for football. Ez, started playing tackle football at the age of 8 years old. He was part of many teams, including Copper Hills, Brighton High, A-game Elite, and Utah Pioneers. On these teams, is where he formed many bonds with both players and coaches that impacted him on and off the field. Ez proudly played both sides of the ball and even though he was small, he was mighty. Ez put in countless number of hours on and off the field to perfect his craft. Ez proudly attended the Utah Military academy, where he learned many leadership qualities and developed long lasting friendships. He had many teachers that supported him throughout his time there that he continued to keep in contact after he moved. It wasn't until last year that the family made their home in Derry, NH and Ezra began attending Pinkerton Academy. Ezra proudly wore #6, as a defensive starter, for the Pinkerton Academy Astros Football Team. In his spare time, he enjoyed building Star Wars Lego sets, playing video games, and working out. He also enjoyed playing flag football, as well as competing in 7v7's. His expansive knowledge of sports statistics couldn't be questioned. Ezy perfected the art of annoyance, and no one knows this better than his older sister, who he loved to tease daily. Ezy will be remembered as a smart, caring, and kind young man. His friends have said they loved his laugh and sense of humor. He was always the one to check in on those around him. He will forever be incredibly missed by those whose lives he's touched. Ezra is survived by his loving parents, Tiffany Baker and Daniel Marshall; his sister, Jordan Alvarez; his grandmother, Sally Gutierrez; his aunt, Brenda Ramirez; his cousins, Benjamin, JW, and Thomas Ramirez; his great-grandfather, Raymond Gutierrez; many aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as his football coaches and brothers on and off the field.
