Genivy Adella Brown age, 88, better known as "Mother Brown", went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in Wilmington Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Bishop James L. Brown, Sr. "Mother Brown" was a God fearing and honorable woman of God who lived the life of Holiness" and lived the Apostolic Doctrine. She was an active member with The United Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith.

She leaves behind to mourn: 2 sons, James L. Brown, Jr., and John A. Brown; 3 daughters, Gloria Fakhourie, Lorraine Johnson and Jennifer Brown; sisters, Cedella Marley-Booker (mother of the late BOB MARLEY), Pastor Imogene Wallaace, Lucille Whyte, Myrtle Wynter, Puntu Campbell, Girly Malcolm, and more; 2 brothers, John Malcolm and Gibson Malcolm and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We know that she is now in the presence of the Lord.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, March 7 at 1:00 pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 2300 N. Claymont Street, Wilmington, DE 19802, with viewing from 11 am to 1 pm.

A Homegoing Service will be from 9-10:30 am on Saturday, March 8, at CONGO FUNERAL HOME, 2317 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19802, with burial immediately following at Gracelawn Memorial Park, Dupont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.
