Sadly, her back, legs and heart started giving out during the last year of her life, and she spent her final days mostly laying in the sun - when her tummy wasn't being rubbed by her momma - because it pained her to get up and down. Amazingly, on the last Sunday of her life, when her family was hosting their weekly Church Life Group meeting, she got up and went to each person in attendance to visit and receive some much-deserved love and petting. Come Monday morning, and she was up a couple of times, but then, right around lunchtime, she lay down and simply couldn't get up again. Her momma stayed up with her that night, and the following morning her family gently carried their sweet "Miss Personality" to the car, and from there to the vet, where they received the sad-but-not-unexpected news that she was just worn out and wasn't going to get any better. Her momma held and gently pet Georgia as the vet released her to roam free around the Rainbow Bridge, where she awaits the day when she and her momma are reunited forever. Georgia was the last and oldest sibling from her litter to pass.
Her momma thanked the Lord every day for the 14 amazing, wonderful years with this sweetest of pups. She will be loved and remembered forever, and her family will be counting down the weeks, months and years until they meet her at the Rainbow Bridge. Until then, her family wishes their sweet Georgia Lily a heartfelt and loving "RIP girlfriend!"
