After high school he played for the Edmonton Huskies, a Canadian Junior Football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. He started his professional career in 1966 and it lasted until 1969. He was an undrafted free agent that played in the defense back position for the Edmonton Eskimos. In his 4 year professional career he played in 64 games. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1969 and went on to a successful career in real estate development.
