Olympic Champion. He was a Pakistani field hockey player. He distinguished himself by winning a gold medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. He also won two silver medals in the Olympics, one at the 1956 Melbourne games and the second one at the 1964 Tokyo games. He also brought home a gold medal from the 1962 Asian Games that were held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The International Hockey Stadium in Bahawalpur is named after him in his honor. He played in more than 68 international games, scoring 13 goals for his team. He is the uncle of two famous Olympic players from Pakistan, Samiullah Khan and Kaleemullah Khan.
