Chester Todd III, age 54, passed away peacefully at Memorial Herman Hospital on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Houston, Texas. He was born on January 23, 1968 in Alice, Texas to Chester Wayland Todd, Jr. and Mary Lela Guttery.

Chester, also loving known as, "Trey", graduated from Alice High School in May of 1986. He joined the Air Force Academy with a sponsorship given to him by Mr.Jim Carlisle. His Active duty started in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His different tours of duty took him around the world as B52 Bomber Radar Navigator. He received many service medals such as the National Defense Medal, Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Medal, and the Expeditionary Medal. Along with his medals he also received many badges.

His numerous tours lead him to become a Radar Navigator Combat Flight Instructor. He separated from the Airforce at Barksdale Air Force Base Louisiana as a Captain with an Honorable Discharge after 10 years of sacrifice. He was third degree Knight of Columbus of the Fort Payne Council #13152. He came back to Texas and worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice continuing with the family tradition. He was hired on October 29, 2003, and worked up until the day he was called home.

Trey was an outgoing, intelligent, compassionate man who loved God, his family, and friends. He married Viola Saenz on January 07, 2011 and together they enjoyed making many memories that will last a lifetime. He loved his grandchildren and the love he had for others was unmeasurable. His friends were very special to him. He lived an extraordinary life and wanted to share his gifts with everyone he loved. Trey continued to share his generosity by giving the gift of life as an organ donor.

Chester was preceded in death by his parent.

He is survived by his loving wife, Viola Saenz-Todd of Beeville, Texas; children, Jeff (Alanna) Saenz of Corpus Christi, Texas, Stephen Saenz of Beeville, Texas, Austin Todd, and Abigail Todd both of Sacramento, California; brothers, Donnie F. Todd and Johnny L. Todd both of Beeville, Texas; grandchildren, Lacee Lynn Saenz of Alice, Texas and Bash Alexander Saenz of Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Alice,Texas .Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers; Donnie Todd, Jeff Saenz, Kelly Kenning, Robert Molina, John Hunter, Manuel Caballero and Roel Joslin. Honorary Pallbearer, Chuck Adams.
