Professional Football Player. Drafted in the 1967 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round out of Oregon State. For eleven seasons he played for the Detroit Lions (1968 to 1977) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1978) as an offensive tackle. In 1972 he was selected to the Second-team All-Pro and the NFL Pro Bowl. Of the 134 games he played in he started in 117 of them. After retiring from the NFL he served in various leadership roles in education before completely retiring in 2015.
