Charles Curtis Ross, age 92 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his home.
He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on July 31, 1929 the son of Ned and Maude (King) Ross. Charles had worked as a Coal Miner, was a member of the First Otter Creek United Baptist Church, former member of the Orie S. Ware Lodge #874, a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed working with his equipment, farming, and gardening.
His parents; wife, Marie (Baird) Ross; son, Glen Charles Ross; brothers, Wilburn K. Ross, Osborne Ross, Conrad Ross, Logan Ross, and Burdell Ross; and sister, Lillian Litton precede him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Gene Roy Ross and Dwight Ross, and wife, Stephanie both of Strunk, Kentucky; daughter, Elaine Gail Clark of Alcoa, Tennessee; brother, Rubin Ross of Strunk, Kentucky; grandchildren, Joshua Clark (Heidi), Jessica Roth (John), Katelyn Tisdale (Brian), Cody Ross (Jera), and Megan Gehring (Kyle); great grandchildren, Dagen Thomas and Alexandria Marie Clark; Colette Marie and John Lincoln Roth; Landon Charles, Elizabeth "Thea" Monique, and Elodie Marie Tisdale; Tucker Gordon Gehring.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Sewell officiating. Burial will follow in the otter-creek-cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Sunday at the Funeral Home.
