Obituary for Dr. Charles Thomas Bell Jr.
Dr. Charles T. Bell, Jr., passed away on April 9, 2020. He was born in Keokuk, Iowa on August 30, 1941. He graduated from Carthage High School in Carthage, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carthage College in Carthage, Illinois and continued his studies to complete his Master of Science from Western Illinois University. He was awarded his PhD in Guidance and Counseling from Columbia University, New York City, New York. Dr. Bell achieved the 32nd Degree: Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret.

Dr. Bell started his career as a founding member of Robert Morris College and held the position of Sr. Vice-President. Robert Morris College went on to become Robert Morris University with 6 locations in the Midwest.

He continued his professional career as a joint partner in establishing Excell Personnel Services Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. The business grew to become one of the largest Human Resources/Executive Search Firms in the Midwest with over 600 employees.

After retiring to Fort Myers, Florida he launched a commercial real estate company, ArrowHead Partners, Inc. His company built, owned and operated apartment complexes in South West Florida and West Central Illinois.

Dr. Bell fulfilled his dream of establishing a foundation known as DreamCatcher Foundation of SW Florida. DreamCatcher provided the basic necessities of shelter, food and clothing along with opportunities for career training and educational development to single mothers in need.

Charles, better known as Tom, was a devoted son to his mother Maxine and a loving husband to Aurelia. He was very proud of his children and their families: Gay Lynn(Bryan) Hoffman and Bradley(Julie) Bell along

with four grandchildren and two great granddaughters. He was a caring brother to his sister Linda.

He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, contagious smile and how he seemed to make everyone around him happy.

A memorial service celebrating Tom's life will be held at a future date.
