He was married to Beulah H. Hubbard (1891-1980).

Charles Wesley Firke, 57, well-known Central Illinois attorney died in a Decatur hospital following a goiter operation. Services will be in the Methodist Church with burial in Mansfield cemetery.

He was born July 12, 1880 near Mansfield, s/o William H. and Elizabeth Firke. He graduated from Mansfield High School and the University of Illinois. He received his legal training at the University of Michigan. He immediately went to Mansfield and opened a law office.

He married Beulah Hubbard in 1917. She survives along with a daughter, Eleanor; his mother of Mansfield; sister: Ada Sizer and two brothers: one of Mansfield and Ralph of Hollywood CA. He was director of the State Bank of Mansfield for many years; and member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.

No death date or newspaper indicated – only 1938.
