U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Vietnam Veteran. After he graduated from Milby High School in 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966 and served in the Military Police Corps. After three years active duty as Spec 4, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He then went on to serve in U.S. Air Force National Guard Personal Command Center, as a Tech Sargent and retired with thirty-seven years of Military service in 2006. As a civilian, he was employed at Hughes Tool, Northwestern Steel and Wire and later at the University of Houston. He was remembered as a loving, loyal, hard working and appreciative soul, who had kindness for everyone. He loved to travel North America, especially by train.
