Orlando P. Adams of Sinton, Texas passed away on September 14, 2021, at the age of 63. Orlando died with his beloved wife Irma and their children by his side.

Orlando was born on November 10, 1957 in Sinton, Texas to Hilda Adams (Perales) and Gonzalo Adams. He had a wonderful smile and personality that always made people feel welcomed. Orlando was a loving husband, father, Popo, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Orlando was a proud and longtime resident of Sinton and graduated from Sinton High School in 1976. After graduation he enlisted into the US Army and was stationed in El Paso, Kansas, and Korea.

Orlando worked and retired from Valero Refinery where he made lifelong friends who he considered part of his family. After retiring, Orlando joined CPL Mark R. Goyet Memorial VFW Post # 12160. He gave his all to the VFW, fellow veterans, and his community. He served as Quartermaster for the last two years and his dedication was the heart and soul of the Post, driving every fundraiser activity and making sure that everything was equipped for success from behind the scenes. Orlando volunteered countless hours to the VFW mission, often up late at night or before the sun rose, making sure that everything had been completed and was ready to go. There will forever be a void and Orlando left big shoes to fill.

Orlando loved fishing, golfing, and doing wood work projects with his wife, but what he loved most was his family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and he loved them "too much". He loved his family fiercely and took every opportunity he had to talk about his children and grandchildren. He had been married to his beautiful wife Irma for what would have been 45 years in January, and they had 3 children together, Michael Adams "Buddy" (Shelly), Jeanette Adams-Vigil "Pumpkin" (Roland), and Jason Adams "Bubba". He is preceded in death by his mother Hilda Adams, father Gonzalo Adams Sr., sister Pearl Adams, and father-in-law Esteban Chapa. Orlando is survived by his 5 cherished grandchildren, Roland Vigil Jr., Keira Adams "Sweet Pea", Mia Vigil "Pumpkin Angel", Kaiden Adams "Buddy Buddy" and Ryker Adams "Bug". Orlando had 3 brothers Gonzalo Adams Jr. (Olga), Arnold Adams (Rose), and Edward Adams (Shannon), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Orlando's memory will continue to live on through his children and grandchildren, and the memories he left in everyone's hearts and minds. There will never be another Orlando. For those who were fortunate enough to know him, know the great loss we have endured.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 21, 2021, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 22, 2021, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton. The Graveside Service will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, 10:00 AM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi.
