Ethel Carroll, the daughter of James Scott Carroll and Emily Watson, was born May 10, 1885. She died two years later on May 15, 1887. She was buried in the Miller Cemetery in Caneyville, Grayson County, Kentucky. Five months later her 2 day old new-born brother Effa and his twin sister Eva were buried in the Miller Cemetery after their deaths on October 15, 1887. This was a devestating loss for her grieving parents in a 5 month period.
