Maryann Lisinski, known by many as Ski, of Dover and formerly of Magnolia, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 peacefully in her sleep at home of complications of a rare kidney disease.

Mrs. Lisinski was born in Danville, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John and Maryann (Yucha) Davis.

While living in Pennsylvania, she worked at Shroyers Dress Factory.

On November 22, 1962 she married Eugene S. Lisinski in Elkton, Maryland and moved to Dover, Delaware where her husband worked at Dover Air Force Base. Mrs. Lisinski loved children and her faithful dog companion, "Star Diamond." She worked for Mrs. McGuire's Children Agency and was a nanny for 138 children. She also worked as a toy supervisor for House of Loyd and Merri-Mac Toy Corporation. Mrs. Lisinski attended Holy Cross Church, Dover and was a member of St. Jude's Home Prayer Group and belonged to the Dover Modern Maturity Center where she had many friends and acquaintances.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lisinski on October 12, 2006, a dear brother Edward Davis, and by a dear friend Sandra Edmondson.

She is survived by two sons David Lisinski and his wife Connie of Rising Sun and Kenneth Lisinski and his wife Linda of Magnolia, a daughter Debra Lisinski Brown and her husband Ray of Dover, grandchildren Stephen Lisinski, Crystal Ann Lisinski, Cindi Lisinski Starr whom she raised from a child and her husband Richard of Rapid City, SD, Scott Lisinski, Kyle Brown and Ryan Brown, a brother Ray Davis of Sunbury, PA, a sister Jacquline Reed of Kulpmont, PA, two brothers-in-law John Lisinski and his wife Georgeann of Lancaster, PA, Florian Lisinski and his wife Joan of Middletown and many nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania.

Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, it was her request that donations be sent to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
