Maurine Jensen Hansen, age 84, passed away February 20, 2015 in Salt Lake City, UT.
She was born March 29, 1930 in Moroni, UT to Allies Ray Jensen and Jemima Irene Johansen. She married her sweetheart, Allen Pheral Hansen, on August 11, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple.
She served faithfully in many callings in the church and in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers throughout her life. Her family, bowling, fishing, camping, and crocheting were some of her favorite things in life.
She is survived by her husband, her children and their spouses; Dennis & Lois Hansen, Kathy & Clyde Marshall, Richard & Wendi Hansen, David & Connie Hansen, Barbara & Bruce Gifford, JoAnn & Kyle Stauffer and her brother, Roger Jensen. She is also survived by and affectionately known as Grammy by her 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bertley Jensen, and sisters, Janet Bell and Geraldine Jensen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 25 at Forestview Ward (1111 Charlton Ave) at 12 noon. There will be a viewing Tuesday February 24, from 6-8pm at Wasatch Lawn (3401 S Highland Drive) and Wednesday from 10:45-11:45am. prior to funeral at Forestview Ward.
