Obituary of Jimmy H. McClendon
Jimmy Hollis McClendon, 74, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed on from this earth June 15, 2021. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Hollis Harmon McClendon and Ola Mae Smith McClendon, he grew up in Albertville, Alabama where he graduated from Albertville High School in 1965. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree after serving time in the Air Force during Vietnam. He had a great passion for teaching and his grandsons. He leaves behind daughter, Lesley (Billy) Steele; Grandchildren, Carson and Parker Williams; Brothers, Jackie (Janice) and Jay McClendon; Sister, Becky (Harold) Brady; along with countless nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved by all who knew him. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 1-3pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla, AL followed by a graveside service at Cave Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Steele, Carson Williams, Parker Williams, Patrick Lundy, Austin Duffer, and Kevin Wells. The family would like to extend their gratitude to staff at Floyd E Tut Fann Veterans Nursing Home and Hospice of North Alabama for their support, love, and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Hospice Foundation of America.
