Atkinson, Frances Anderson

Frances Anderson Atkinson, 86, formerly of 3406 Windsor Road, Austin, died April 13, 2004, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She and her late husband, John M. Atkinson, moved to Alabama October 1999 to be near their son and daughter-in-law. Mrs. Atkinson was born in Stephenville, Texas, to Waverly and Libby Anderson, and is preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Elaine Anderson Steinbeck. Survivors include her son, Jon Atkinson, and his wife, Joan; grandson, Christopher Atkinson and his wife, Starla of Franklin, Tennessee; granddaughter, Amy Naramore and her husband, Danny of Uganda, Africa; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Boone and Rae Downey of New York City; a niece, Waverly Kaffaga of Athens, Greece; two nephews, Keith Covert and his wife, Debra of Fort Worth, and Clark Covert and his wife, Melinda of Austin. Mrs. Atkinson was a member of the University Avenue Church of Christ for over fifty years. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Austin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Campus Ministry, University Avenue Church of Christ, or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Weed-Corley- Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N.
