William Braxton Abercrombie Jr. age 90, of Mulga Alabama, passed away on Saturday May 29, 2021. He was a true man of God and he is rejoicing in heaven with his mother, Mildred Thompson Abercrombie, father; William Braxton Abercrombie Sr., sisters; Betty Lawley and Pat Steele. William made God, his country and family his priorities. He was a Korean War veteran having proudly served in the United States Navy. He was an active member of Mulga Baptist Church and a past member of Green Acres Church. He enjoyed watching the Crimson Tide, Atlanta Braves and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Nell Abercrombie, children; Bill Abercrombie (Sandy), Steve Abercrombie (Lori), Pamela Abercrombie Egan (Don) and Cynthia Abercrombie Jameson, grandchildren; Charles Jameson (Sandy), Sarah Egan (Joey), Jessica Lineberry (Trent) and a host of great grandchildren, family and friends. The funeral will be Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. burial to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Mulga Baptist Church.
