Susan Lea Fulton, DVM, 47, passed away August 12, 2011. She was born to John and Barbara Fulton on April 8, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas.

Susan attended Sharpstown High School. She was a member of the Key Club and she was a National Merit Scholar. Susan graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A M and she continued at the university to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She was a member of the Harris County Veterinary Medicine Association, the Texas Veterinary Medicine Association and the American Veterinary Medicine Association. After graduation she worked in the Houston area and she currently worked at the Heights Veterinary Clinic.

Susan was predeceased by her father, John. She is survived by her mother, Barbara; her sister, Kathryn and Scott Medler of East Amherst, New York; her brother, Stuart and Julie Fulton of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; and four nephews, Peyton, Ethan, Grant and Isaac.

She was kind, thoughtful and willing do anything for others. She devoted her life to the care of animals and will be missed by those who knew her and loved her.

A celebration of her life will be officiated by Mike Jeter, pastor of Sharpstown Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 in the Miller Funeral Chapel, 7723 Beechnut, Houston, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Special Pals, 3830 Greenhouse Road, Houston, Texas 77084 or to the charity of your choice.
