Paulo Julio "PJ" Moraes Clement began working professionally as a reporter for "Jornal do Brasil" in 1987, and, at the same time, at the Sport Press news agency. Later, he worked for "O Dia" in 1989 and "Jornal do Brasil" in 1990. From 1991 to 2001, he worked for the Rio newspaper "O Globo." In 2002, he moved to Brasilia to work in Rádio CBN and as a radio sports commentator for "Bom Dia-DF," a newscast on Rede Globo in São Paulo. He later worked for Fox Sports Brasil from 2012 to his death in 2016. He died in the LaMia Airlines Flight 2933 accident in the Colombian village of Cerro Gordo, La Unión, Antioquia, while travelling with the Chapecoense football squad for the Copa Sudamericana finals on 28 November 2016.
