Gloria Ellen (Morris) Barron peacefully transitioned from this life to the next on 13 Mar 2019 in League City, Texas at the age of 93. Her only son, Michael Arthur Barron of Henderson, Nevada, survives her.

Born 18 Jan 1926 in Bismarck ND, she was the youngest of four siblings born to Earle Hedderich and Alice Catherine (McCoy) Morris. Her siblings, all of whom preceded her in death, were John Richard Morris, Robert Lewis Morris, and Elizabeth Jane (Morris) Ferris. The family moved from Indiana to Bismarck in 1920 and then to Charleston, WV before 1935. She matriculated at Whitworth Female College (a women's finishing school) in Brookhaven, MS in 1946, which almost "finished her" by her own account. While at Whitworth she was pledged to Delta Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society, which she would become President of in 1947. Her first marriage was to William 'Bill' George Best in 1948, from which her only son was born. In 1960 she married Robert 'Bob' Vernon Barron. With Hollywood in their sights, Gloria and Bob moved to Los Angeles, CA after her mother passed away. Gloria began working in radio as an executive for KMPC radio and was the station's traffic manager. She and Bob moved north to Salinas, CA and founded KLRB radio, an FM radio station specializing in classic rock located in Carmel. KLRB was one of the first limited advertising format radio stations in America.

Gloria was an actress, radio executive, writer and winner of several acting awards, including Best Actress award from the Kanawha Players of Charleston, WV for her part in the play 'Born Yesterday'. Gloria spent a large part of her CA years perfecting her artistic abilities as a hobby. She dabbled in ceramics, fiber arts and sculpting. Gloria was also very self-aware of what the universe was speaking to her. Over the years, she came to realize that she felt things that most others did not. She was aware that more was going on around her than could be seen. Since the age of 13, she has been on a spiritual path that led her to being a metaphysician and spiritual healer.

Upon retirement from radio, she met and married the man she called the love of her life, Walter Michael Allen. They then moved to the Bear Valley/Tehachapi, CA area. In 2015 she moved to League City, TX to stay with her nephew Rick Ferris and his wife Mary, whom she was with when she began the next phase of her journey. She was the spark in this branch of the Morris family.
