Patsy Blaylock Arnold, of Conway, born Oct. 15, 1932, went to the waiting arms of Jesus on July 7, 2010 after a very long and courageous battle with a rare brain disease. She is proceeded in death by her first husband, and father of her children, Marvin Blaylock, her second husband, Don Arnold, her parents, and a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Gay Sallee and their daughter Tracee Sallee Bleakley.
She is survived by her children, Karen Crane and husband Dwain of Conway, Kim Crow and husband Paul of Sherwood, grandchildren, Ashley Elliott (Will), Courtney Curry (Jason) of Little Rock, Nathan Crow of NLR, and Rachel Crow of Sherwood and three great-grandchildren, Carson Curry, Cameron Curry and Jackson Crow, sister and brother-in-law Diane and John Holland of Louisiana and many nieces and a nephew.
The family would like to thank Elisabeth Lindsey for the loving care she gave our mother, the wonderful staff, nurses and caregivers at Southridge Village and the wonderful nurses and caregivers with Arkansas Hospice who not only held her hand through all of this but ours as well. We would also like to thank the doctors who worked so compassionately with our mother - Dr. Greg Kendrick, Dr. Stephen Long, Dr. Tim Freyaldehoven, Dr. Leo Crafton and Dr. Donny Quick.
Pat was our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother known as "Nonie" to us all and our friend. While she will be greatly missed, we rejoice and find peace knowing that she has been set free from the disease, which slowly robbed her of speech and mobility. She is now whole and fully alive with Christ.
The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 1014 Markham St. Suite 1, Conway, AR 72032.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Cor. 4:16-18.
