According to "Family Search," Sarah was first married to a Macartan Campbell (b. about 1752, in British Colonial South Carolina; d. 1793). On Family Search, three different marriage records were attached: One, showing they were married in Charleston, Montgomery County, New York. The year is not noted on this record. The second marriage record shows them having been married in Maryland, on February 24, 1777. The third marriage records shows their marriage having taken place in Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina, in 1777. I can imagine no explanation for this. As yet, no Find A Grave memorial has been found for Macartan Campbell.
