Señor General de División Diego Álvarez. Nació en Coyuca de Benítez en el año de 1812 y murió en La Providencia el 28 de enero de 1899. Fue gobernador del Estado. Luchó por la República. Combatió al imperio. El Estado de Guerrero, agradecido, le consagra este recuerdo D.E.P.
