John Louis Podobinski enlisted in the U.S. Army 21 Jun 1943 and was discharged 26 Feb 1946. He served in Battery B 147th Field Artillery Battalion; serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater battle campaigns of New Guinea and Luzon. He was discharged as a Corporal E-4. He served along with his 6 brothers all joining various branches of the US military at the same time. They all came home safe.
