Grace M. Charbonneau Fitzgerald passed into the hands of God on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Grace was a lifelong resident of Cohoes and parishioner of the Church of the Holy Trinity.

She graduated from Catholic Central High School and received her B.S. in nursing from the Albany Medical Center School of Nursing.

After raising her seven children, she resumed her nursing career as a maternity nurse at Albany Medical Center where she also taught parenting classes.

Grace always enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to visit with her many friends, go out to dinner, travel and play scrabble. She was also an avid bowler, reader, knitter, gardener and bird watcher.

Grace was predeceased by her husband, Maurice "Corky" Fitzgerald; her parents, Aime and Anna Pouliott Charbonneau; her sister, Veronica Charbonneau; her son, Brian Fitzgerald; and her grandson, Keith McDermott.

Grace is survived by her daughters, Cathleen (Brian) McMahon of Clifton Park and Dianne (David) McDermott of Cohoes; her sons, Wayne (Sharon) Fitzgerald of Middleburg, Fla., David (Lisa) Fitzgerald of Chandler, Ariz., Lee (Pamela) Fitzgerald of Cohoes and Jon (Deb) Fitzgerald of Cohoes. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
