Joe E. Edwards, age 81, of Springdale, AR., passed away January 5, 2021 at his home in Springdale.
He was born on August 6, 1939 in Fort Smith, Arkansas the son of Joe W. And Edna (Horn) Edwards.
Preceding him in death were his parents & brother, Jerry Edwards.
Joe is survived by his wife, Janice, sons Greg & fiancé Shelley, and Chris and wife Peggy. Sister, Nancy Edwards, brother Billy Edwards and wife Carol, grandchildren Aspen Huber and husband Logan, Gage Edwards and Breanna Edwards.
Joe and his wife Janice Sue Edwards of 60 years, owned and operated Edwards Design & Construction and Edwards Properties among various other businesses in and around Springdale, AR. for over 50 years. His father owned a roofing company, so Joe grew up working around the construction environment from a young age. He had a strong interest in different building styles and traveled to find the best roofing and building methods. He was a hard worker, and rarely ever stopped working. One of his greatest joys, was watching a project be completed from start to finish. In his free time, he was a loving parent and grandparent and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling the country in his motor home and was always ready for a trip to Disney World.
He and wife, Janice were a member of Cross Church Springdale.
He will be forever missed by his family, and fondly remembered by a multitude of people in Springdale. Gifts may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital Northwest, 2601 Gene George Blvd, Springdale, AR. 72762 or to Sisco Funeral Chapel 705 West Meadow Springdale, AR. 72764.
