Rick D. Andonian, age 63, passed away unexpectedly in Findlay on December 16, 2020. He was born on December 10th, 1957 to Dean and Bonnie (Burnap) Washburn.

Rick graduated from Cory-Rawson High School in 1976. He served his country as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps and was awarded many decorations during his service. Semper Fi! One of Rick's proudest moments was when he became a father to Danielle Alexia and then when he became a grandpa to Scarlett. They were the light of his life.

Rick was the "Man in Black" with a heart of pure gold and would not hesitate to help others in need. He was a man that worked hard every day of his life for what he had to give. He was imaginative and skilled when it came to many different things from hunting and fishing, to working on cars or motorcycles, or any number of projects around the house. A dreamer and a realist, he loved to read and learn new things. He found freedom when riding his Harley and became one with nature when he was in the woods or on the water. Rick was a member of the Marine Corp League, USMC Scout/Sniper Association, the DAV, AMVETS, and the Findlay Moose Lodge #698, among others.

Recently, Rick was teaching himself and Scarlett to play the guitar, how to find treasures (metal detecting), and taught Scarlett how to whistle and write her name. Scarlett says, "My papa is the BEST because he is so strong that he can lift me up in the sky like a super girl!"

May Rick be remembered for his laugh, smile, sense of humor, his love of music, but most of all for the love he had to give.

Rick is survived by Danielle and Scarlett of Findlay. He is also survived by his brothers, Clay (Nina) Washburn, Shane (Kathy) Washburn, and Tom (April) Washburn, all of Forest; sisters, Deanna (Dan) George, Forest, Denette (Torr) Washburn, Boise, Idaho, and Bretta Washburn, Findlay, along with many other loving family members. Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Terrah (Washburn) McNeil; and niece, Tori Neddo.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 1 – 4 p.m.at the Findlay Moose Lodge #698. The family requests that any memorials be made in Rick's memory to ensure that his girls, Scarlett and Danielle be taken care of. (And his dog, Tucker too.) HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements
