She was born March 11, 1943, a daughter of the late George L. and Opal Mae Clevenger Powers.
She is survived by her children, Ethan Davis, Jeffrey Davis and Robert Davis and his companion, Rose Dodd; her grandchildren, Nikki Armstead, Ashley Davis, Tiffany Davis, Scotty Davis, David Davis, Pork Davis, Amanda Jeffress, Shantell Riffle, Tesla Davis and David Richard Davis II; 20 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sandra Jenkins and her husband, Bobby and Kathy Miller and her husband, Buck; her brothers-in-law, Dick Earnest and Bill Showen; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her children, Rebecca “Becky” Skinner, Pamela Toothman and David Davis; one grandson; her long-time companion, John Dodd and her siblings, Ina Mae Earnest, Clifford Powers, Virginia Kesling, Lloyd Powers, Charlie Powers and Barbara Jean Showen.
Geneva loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She spent her life serving others as a caretaker.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Tim Sandy will officiate the service.
Interment will follow at the Hardman Cemetery in Wilsonburg.
