Dorothy Hilda Barr Boyack, 94, also known as Dot or Dotty, GG to her great grandchildren, of Arco, Idaho, peacefully passed away Monday, August 10th, 2020 surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born June 9th, 1926 in Arco, Idaho, to Parley Elmer Barr and Hilda Barr. She lived there her entire life until she moved in with her daughter and son-in-law Anita and Sam Quilling in 2002.

She married Ralph Bernell Boyack on April 5, 1944, in Blackfoot, Idaho.

She and Bernell made Arco their home where they raised 3 children.

They have 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was loved by all who knew her. Mom loved her family and her dogs. She was always serving others. No one ever went hungry when at mom's house. Mom was always cooking or baking something for those she loved.

She was a very active member of the Lost River Community. She worked as a cook in several cafes in Arco where she formed many lifelong friendships. Many customers would follow wherever she went for her excellent cooking. She volunteered at the Senior Center from 1993 until 2002. She worked as a receptionist, cook, janitor and manager of the Bingo project. She served a three year term as Chairman of the Board of Lost Rivers Senior Citizens, Inc. The organization said she was one of the most versatile volunteers they ever had. She was a Lifetime Member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Dorothy is survived by her children; Alan (Shauna) Boyack of Idaho Falls, Anita (Sam) Quilling of Idaho Falls, Aaron (Amy) Boyack of Glenns Ferry; and all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.
