Robert Lyebett Johnson, best known to most as "Bicycle Bobby" ,72, of Albertville, AL passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Shepherd's Cove Hospice. Bobby was an icon in Marshall County throughout his lifetime. He was a very proud Honorary Sheriff's Deputy in Marshall County for Over 20 years. Bobby was often seen patrolling the streets of Sand Mountain on his bicycle. His bike was equipped a CB radio to report anything out of the ordinary to the police department. Upon retirement from his honorary duty he was given a party and a plaque of appreciation by then Sheriff Scott Walls. Bobby was an outstanding ticket seller for charitable fundraisers, often selling 400 to 500 tickets for each raffle. He regularly attended lunches at both the Albertville and Guntersville Senior Centers. Bobby was also an important asset to the Albertville Food Land. A Graveside Service will be held for Bobby on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Marshall Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Jason Windsor will officiate. Pallbearers will be friends. Preceded in death by his mother, Gartrell Johnson, father, RB Johnson He is survived by his, son, Randy Lee Johnson, sisters, Martha Kelly (Stevie Justice), Annie Sue Eubanks, special caregiver, John Schwartz, special friends, Jan Patterson, Gary Dean. Albertville Funeral Home Downtown is assisting the family.
