She was born August 1, 1924, to Claude L. and Lorene Weatherly, in Sugden, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ryan High School in 1941. She and Ira Henderson, Jr. were united in marriage on May 15, 1941, in Comanche. Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker and accountant/ bookkeeper to H & B Trucking. She was a loving and supportive wife, and her wisdom was extraordinary and her love enduring. She enjoyed hand-quilting, gardening, sewing, and word-seeking puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Ira Henderson Jr. of Newcastle; two sons, Tommy Leon Henderson of Crowder, and Rickey Don Henderson and his wife Connie of Newcastle; one daughter, Candice Odom and her husband Brady of Newcastle; two brothers, C.L. "Jack" Weatherly of Shawnee, and Gene Weatherly of Wichita, Kan.; eight grand-children; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lorene Weatherly.
Funeral services for Mrs. Henderson were at 2 p.m. Monday, December 9, at the Terral First Baptist Church, with Rev. Charles Parker officiating. Burial was in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
