She was a daughter of the late Samuel Faulkenberry and Minnie Williams Faulkenberry. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Dease; two sons, Oscar Dease and Johnny Dease; five brothers, JW Faulkenberry, Randolph Faulkenberry, Grover Faulkenberry, Cletis Faulkenberry and William Faulkenberry; and a grandson, Matthew Taylor. She is survived by two sons, Charles Dease and his wife Linda, and Kenneth Dease and his wife Alice - all of Lancaster; three daughters, Pauline Hinson, Shirley Bradley and her husband Reece and Sandra Taylor and her husband Gary - all of Kershaw; two brothers, Racine Faulkenberry of Lancaster and Carl Faulkenberry and his wife Annie Mae of Kershaw; a sister, Annie Ruth Robinson of Kershaw; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
