Mrs. Cornelia Redfield Chandler, widow of Rear Admiral Ralph Chandler, U. S. N., and daughter of the late H. J. Redfield, at one time Collector of the Port of New York, died in Washington yesterday morning of pneumonia, after an illness of two days. She leaves three daughters – Mr. Le Roy Parker of Batavia, N. Y., who writes under the name of Bessie Chandler; Mrs. C. Marshall martin of Yokohama, and Miss Cornelia D. Chandler. Rear Admiral Chandler died in Hong Kong in February 1889, while in command of the United States fleet in those waters.
