William Henry Miller was Member of Parliament for Newcastle-under-Lyme and wealthy and eccentric bibliophile, whose father was the owner of Craigentinny House in Edinburgh. The remarkable tomb over his grave is known as the Craigentinny Marbles and was designed by David Rhind in the form of a Roman mausoleum with two large marble bas reliefs by Alfred Gatley.
