Suggested edit: Frances Anne (Moody) Peaslee (1831-1896), eldest of five daughters of Dr. Robert Moody (1801-1841) and his second wife Adelia (Penniman) (Harrington) Moody (1801-1884), was named for her two grandmothers: maternal grandmother Frances (Montresor) (Buchanan) (Allen) Penniman (1760-1834, widow of Ethan Allen), and paternal grandmother Anne (Thorp) Moody (1771 or 1778-1856), an immigrant from Derry, Northern Ireland, to Burlington, Vermont.

Frances Anne Moody was married to Amos Hazen Peaslee at Burlington on 1 May 1850. Her younger sister, Juliette Adelia Moody, married his younger brother, Cornelius Peaslee. Both couples lived in Dubuque and are buried with their children and numerous descendants in Linwood Cemetery.
