BARRY, Ronald It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Ernest Barry on November 18, 2019 at the age of 86. He was devoted to his wife and love of his life, Marilyn, for over 64 years. His children, Kathryn Benes (Jack) and Ronald Scott Barry (Loretta Edwards) mourn his passing. Ron was especially proud of his grandchildren, Papa's Girls, Alexandra Benes and Sarah Benes (J'Neene Messina) who added much joy and amusement to his life. He leaves behind his youngest sister, Carol Willis, brother-in-law, Norris Ormston (Rosina), and many nieces and nephews. While a welder by trade, Ron was a gifted woodworker and cabinet maker. His family and friends will miss his dry sense of humour, his habit of saying exactly what was on his mind, and his ability to fix or build just about anything. No words can express the depth of the hole he leaves in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. He wanted us to have a party on him so a Celebration of his Life will take place at a later date. Donations to either Hospice Niagara or the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated in his memory for the support they gave him in the last months of his life.
