Mrs. Grace Mae Swords, 61, a resident of 4628 Farmington Rd., Limestone Township, for the last 13 years, died unexpectedly at 6:30 p.m. Monday at her home. She had been under a doctor's care for some time.
Born at Cable near Kewanee March 26, 1896, she was a daughter of Issac and Annie Laurie Williams Callear and had spent most of her life in Peoria. She was the wife of George E. Swords, to whom she was married at Pottstown March 26, 1914. Mrs. Swords was a member of Bethel Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Mae Shockey of Seattle Wash., and Mrs. Florence A. Lorentz of Peoria; two sons, Harold L. Swords and Sheldon N. Swords, both of Peoria; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
