Warren was born on October 5, 1935 to the late Albert W. and Emily M. (Galewski) Zander in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Warren married Lois L. Latzel on April 23, 1960 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2003.

He is survived by his Sister: Carol (Robert) Wenzel, Brothers-in-law: Robert Latzel and James Latzel. His Children: Allen and Janet Zander, Gary and Amy Zander, Laura and John Cole, David Zander and Jason Zander (special friend; Lea Romero). Grandchildren: Kelly and Andy Hartvig, Matthew and Kelly Zander, Joshua Zander, Grace Zander, Thomas Cole, Zakkary Zander and Nathan Zander (fiancee: Nicole Huff). Great Grandchildren: Madisyn Hartvig and Dane Zander.

He attended Milwaukee Public Schools, graduating in 1954 with plans to study architecture. His father's untimely death at 48 changed Warren's direction and he joined his mother in running Zander's Tavern until 1975. Warren was a long time member of the North Milwaukee Lions and was District Governor Of District 27A. Warren moved his family to Rosholt in 1975 and was Executive Director of the Wisconsin Lions Foundation. Warren returned to food service in 1981 with the purchase of the Coffee Cup in Rosholt and with his family started Rosholt Food Service managing the restaurants at Iola, New London, Wittenberg, and the Antigo Bass Lake Country Clubs.

Warren enjoyed traveling and spent many vacations traveling with his family around the United States. He also was an avid golfer, he enjoyed many trips to Hot Springs, AR. and could be found most mornings on the course in Iola. Warren was a member of Faith Lutheran Church Rosholt and former Council member. He was a former member of the Rosholt School Board. A longtime RSVP volunteer driver for the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County.

Funeral Services will be held NOON Friday, October 18, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt Wisconsin with the Rev. Michael Peuse officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the Church. Burial will be at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Rosholt, Wisconsin.

Voie Funeral Home of Iola assisted the family with arrangements.

The family would like to thank the Portage County Health Care Center staff for the compassion care provided to their father.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Warren's memory to the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County or Faith Lutheran Church's Extended Ministry Endowment Fund.
