Inez Marie Allen-Cowan, 97-year-old former Pryor resident passed away on June 5, 2019, in Duncan, Oklahoma.
She was born on March 4, 1922, in Purdy, Arkansas to Bunk and Nancy Parker.
Inez had lived in Pryor until the last five years when she moved to Duncan to be near her daughter.
She owned and operated Inez's Beauty Salon in Pryor for 26 years.
Inez married Cecil Merle Allen, from this union they had one daughter, Jana.
She was a square dancer and lead the church choir.
She had been married to Cecil for 25 years when he passed away.
Later she married Clayton Cowan, they were married for thirty-three years before his passing in 2013.
Inez was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pryor.
She was a beautiful lady who loved the Lord and her family.
She is survived by her daughter Jana Hutsell and husband Bill of Duncan, OK, and many relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, eight brothers, and sisters, Coleman, Lilly, Francis, Bee, Charlie, Iva, Tilman, and Hazel.
The celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 2:00 PM in the Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor, with Dr. Michael Cox officiating.
Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Pryor.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care.
