Daughter of John J Wilson and Angeletta Wilson. She married first Joe Sizemore 9-16-1879 Leslie. She married second Ransom Slusher 5-1-1896 Bell.
Mary's death date and burial place are unknown. She died between 12/14/1903 (her father's estate settlement) and 1910. In 1900 Mary says 5 cildren, all living. She is found 1880 Leslie married to Joe, no children and 1900 Bell married to Ransom Slusher. There are multiple mysteries surrounding her and her children.
Ransom Slusher died 3-28-1911 Bell ; death certificate says he was born 1834, states he is widowed; more likely he was born 1844, 20 yrs older than Mary, he is shown as age 52 in 1900, 58 in 1910; Ransom is probably A886 in 'Howards In Southeast KY', the son bc 1845 of Isaac Slusher (A62 son of Phillip & Julida). In that case he was a first cousin once removed to Mary.
Mary may have also have married an unknown Neal. She is referred to as Mary Neal in the marriage record of her son Tilmon. The father of Mary's third and fourth children is obscure.
Alice's obituary gives her parents as Ransom and Mary Wilson. At that late date (1967), the informant could easily be confused about which of Alice's parents was a Wilson. Tilmon is harder to explain. Tilmon lists his father as John Wilson on his marriage record; the identity of that John Wilson is unknown; he may be the same as Ransom Slusher (possibly Ransom is John Ransom and conceivably Ransom is the outchild of a Wilson). Tilmon was a Wilson in the 1910 & 1920 census, at his 1914 marriage and at his 1918 draft registration, likely taking his mother's surname, which typically happens when a child is born out of wedlock. Conceivably, Mary and Ransom were married twice.

Children Mary Jane & Joe Sizemore (children b between 1880 and 1885) Children's names from Sadie Stidham 'Pioneer Families of Leslie County'. Sadie's informant was probably Joe's last wife Mary Jones or her daughter Bertha.) Joe and Mary were divorced before 7-4-1885 when Robert was born (child of Joe & Sallie Pennington).

Joe Sizemore moved to Manring between 1901 (Bertha born in Leslie County) and 1907 (Shirley born in TN). Joe Sizemore's family (not includingJames) are the only Sizemores in 1910 Claiborne County. .
