Maxine Marie Moylan Davies, 84, was welcomed into eternal life on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 (lovingly surrounded by her seven children and several grandchildren), following a short illness.

Maxine Davies (Max, as she was universally known) was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, December 3, 1934 to Neal and Karen Moylan. She attended parochial schools in Grand Forks and graduated from the Academy of Saint James in 1952. She moved to Fargo in 1955 and graduated from the Sisters of Saint Joseph School of Nursing in 1955. Max was joined in marriage to her grade school sweetheart, Timothy Quigley Davies, on September 23, 1957.

Max worked at numerous hospitals including Bangor, Maine, Saint Michael’s Hospital in Grand Forks, and predominately at Saint John’s Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. After retiring from nursing in 1986, she became a personal shopper at Dayton’s.

Max will always be remembered for her sense of humor, willingness to care for others, and a love of shopping. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her seven children: Brian (Becky Anderson) Davies, Kelly (Al) Anderson, Jane (Eric) Sundby, Catharine (Douglas) Mark, Amy (Steve) Baenen, Cary, Michael (Janna) Davies, and Molly (Patrick Madigan) Davies. Max was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in her death by her parents, brother (Pat) and husband, Timothy Davies.

The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Church of Nativity at 10:00 a.m. A prayer service will take place at the Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Thursday May 16, 2019 at 7:00 pm with visitation at 5:00 and Rosary at 6:45. Interment will occur following the Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery.
