DENISE MARIE SYLVIA STROTHER

Denise Strother (nee Couture), 85, passed away on March 8, 2014. Denise was born on November 26, 1928 in Saskatoon, SK. She lived in St. John, Montreal and Toronto, making good friends everywhere she went. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Florida Couture, her husband Gerry, son David, daughter Jo-Anne and brother Gerald. Denise was a social butterfly with a wonderful sense of humour. She volunteered for various organizations throughout her life, was active in the Catholic Women's League and especially enjoyed her choir buddies. Denise was also a skilled bridge player and a wonderful hostess and cook. Her other hobbies included shopping, shopping and shopping! She was a wonderful wife and mother who kept up with four boys and a special daughter. She tirelessly helped them all through the years and was always there for advice and comfort. Denise also shared a special bond with her two sisters, who will always be famous for their impressive can-can photo ops. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Royal University Hospital for their amazing care over her final month.
