Anna Jeanne ARCHER July 26, 1920 ~ January 6, 2010 Born in Chicago, IL to George and Elsa Leddy. She is survived by her two children, son Jon Archer (Andrea) of Gig Harbor, WA, daughter Lisa Oswald (Richard) of Greenwich, CT, grandsons Nicholas Archer, Matthew Oswald and John Oswald and Sister Nancy Smith of Chicago, IL. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John Archer, December 5, 1999. Lovingly known as Nana by her grandsons and Nini by her nephews and niece, Ann was an exceptionally devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She spent her early professional career modeling and acting as well as singing with Henry King's band in posh casinos on the Gulf Coast. She made commercials in New York for Lucky Strike's "Your Hit Parade," in California for Kellogg's Corn Flakes and in Oak Park, IL for Standard Oil, playing a small town wife seeing her husband off to work. It was in this commercial that she was introduced to her future husband, John Archer in July 1956. They married six months later and moved to southern California where they raised their family. In 1989, Ann and John relocated to Washington State and enjoyed living in both Bellevue and Redmond, making their residence at Emerald Heights since 1994. Her fine musical talents, which included singing and whistling, infused each day with a joyous and uplifting mood and will forever be remembered by those who knew her. Ann adored her family and her family adored her. Funeral services to be held at Haven of Rest, Gig Harbor WA, 2:00 PM Sat. January 16, 2010.
