J. Michael Hargrove, 64, of Dallas, formerly from Waxahachie, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1950 in Waxahachie to Ernest Hargrove and Doris Wiggins Hargrove.
Michael was a well renowned Pen and Ink Artist for nearly 40 years. Art was his vocation but gardening was his passion. He was an avid reader and he had a wit that was razor sharp. Few people could turn a phrase the way Michael could. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his companion of 15 years, Phil of Dallas; two sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 4-6 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 2 pm in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Michael was an animal lover so the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the SPCA.
