Charles Wesley Goodson, age 74 of Winder, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dacula with Rev. Sam Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Charles was a great husband, father, and beloved grandfather. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dacula, an avid golfer, and enjoyed participating in his grandchildren’s activities. Charles was the son of the late Rev. Clyde R. and Louise (Phillips) Goodson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Goodson. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Toni (Ware) Goodson; daughters and son-in-law, Ashley and Shane Green of Dacula and Candi and Scott Thurmond of Bethlehem; sister, Brenda Biddix of Richmond, VA; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Ashton and Kale Brazier of Athens; granddaughter and fiancé, Autumn Green and Dylan Ballard of Dacula; and grandsons, Luke Thurmond, Nick Thurmond, and Grant Thurmond, all of Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Ebenezer Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
