MRS. C. L. GARMON SLAIN
BY HUSBAND, REPORTED
News has been received in Nashville of the death of Mrs. C. L. Garmon, formerly of Nashville, whose husband killed her with an axe as she was sleeping at her home in Pontiac, Mich., Feb. 6.
Her husband went to the police station and told officers of his deed. He insisted he had no cause for the act and authorities are considering placing him in an insane asylum, as physicians believe he is crazed as the results of an accident which fractured his skull some time ago.
Messages from friends of Mrs. Garmon to Mrs. C. H. Wooten, her sister, who lives at St. Joseph avenue, verified press reports of the tragedy in Pontiac. Mrs. Garmon has other relatives living in Memphis and in Boise, Idaho.
Note: Mrs. C. H. Wooten is Azile's aunt, not her sister.
