Alice A. (Bartsch) Adams, 84, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, Cabot. She was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Shaler Township, to the late Fredrick and Margaret Reiter Bartsch. Alice was a 1951 graduate of New Kensington High School. Her working career started at Grant's, in New Kensington, Charlie's Meat Palace, in Natrona Heights, and she retired after 42 years of service from the Heights Prescription Pharmacy in Natrona Heights. After retirement, she was a volunteer for Concordia Visiting Nurses for 10 years. Alice was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, in Cabot, where she was a Eucharistic minister and was active in the parish festival for many years. She enjoyed camping at Smith's Grove Campground for weekend retreats, playing cards and games with her family and friends, Wii bowling, crocheting, bingo and her trips to the casino. Alice is survived by her children, Charles (Marsha) Adams, of Troy, Mich., and Patricia (Richard) Marciniak, of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Eric Adams, Nicholas (Samantha) Adams, Jessica Vincent, Gerri Frank and Karen (Derek) Clark; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Chloe, Jaxson, Brook, Allana, Carley, William and Evelyn; and by her brother, Kenton (Patricia) Adams, of Allison Park. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John L. Adams, March 17, 2007; and by her brothers, John and Richard Adams.

There will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, with her pastor, the Rev. Ward Stakem as celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Arrangements are under the care of the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688.
