James Jackson "Jamie" Thompson III, 36, of Princeton died Thursday, October 11, 2018 from injuries received from an auto accident on the WV Turnpike. Born May 29, 1982 in Princeton, he was the son of Janice Mae Wyrick Thompson of Princeton and the late James Jackson Thompson Jr. Jamie was self employed as a building contractor, he loved working with his hands. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather Willard Wyrick and his girl-friend Brooke Helmandollar, whose life was taken in the same accident. In addition to his mother Janice, he is survived by his daughter MacKenzie (Kenzie) Thompson and a brother Jesse Thompson, and his grandmother Lena Wyrick. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Steve Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery near Princeton.
